Anxiety and depression can make sleep, decisions, relationships, and medical care feel harder to manage. You may be carrying constant worry, feeling shut down, or finding that life after a difficult experience does not feel the way you expected. You do not have to sort it out alone.
I work with adults in Lakeway and Northwest Hills, Austin, and online across Texas and Virginia. We begin with what is happening for you now and choose support that feels useful and manageable.
Anxiety and depression are among the most common mental health challenges — and often, they appear together.
You might notice symptoms like:
These feelings aren’t weaknesses — they’re signs that your mind and body are calling for care and support.
There is no fixed sequence you have to fit. We look at what is making life harder, what matters to you, and what you have room for now. Some sessions focus on practical support and steadiness; others make room for trauma-focused work when that fits.
Depending on your goals and needs, I may draw from EMDR, parts work, cognitive and body-based strategies. We check in and adjust together.
The aim is to help you understand your reactions, make room for choice, and find ways to respond that fit your life. We can notice together what is helping and change course when something is not.
We will talk about what you are experiencing and what you want to change or protect. I will explain options, invite your feedback, and help you set a pace that leaves room to pause or change direction.
Therapy may include practical steps for daily life as well as deeper work with patterns or experiences that still feel close. We will pay attention to what you can actually use between sessions.
You do not need a perfect description of what is wrong or a plan for therapy before reaching out. Tell me a little about what is happening and what you hope support might help with.
